I swear the teen trans community is like the most low hanging fruit if you're a pedophile and it really needs to be taken seriously. The groomers encourage them to wear woman's/men's underwear/clothes and take and send pictures because it's "liberating to be yourself" and they really need compliments to feel like they're making progress.
They prey on vulnerable kids who need a community or friends and are desperate for similar people to confirm their choices and how they look like a girl/boy now. At the time these kids view it as "friendly trans ally is trying to help me be who I really am" but when you look at it it's older people asking for pictures (often of breast development etc) to see "how the transition is coming along" when it's literally a 13-14 year old child taking hormones. You find stories of online grooming like you're talking about around /r/DeTrans but not always from people who realise they were being groomed.
